Your First Visit

When you visit UMCWV, we want you to feel right at home as soon as you walk onto our campus. Here’s what you can expect:

Parking
The parking lot has entrances off Westlake Blvd. and off Hampshire Rd. Follow the signs to the area just outside the patio and main entrance. It includes handicap-accessible spaces near the Meditation Garden.

Child Friendly
Our hope is that your child will have the best possible experience while at UMCWV. Sunday School for children and youth begins with their families in the sanctuary at 10 a.m.; dismissal to classrooms with their teachers happens after A Time with Children. Our teachers are loving, competent people who truly enjoy their ministry of being responsible for your child during this time. Also available in the back of the sanctuary is an enclosed area called the “Kids Zone” for parent-supervised play where the service can be seen and heard.

Staying Informed
Information about upcoming events can be received electronically by requesting to join our email announcement list. Email Vinia in the church office at vinia@umcwv.org if you wish to have your email added to this group. The church also publishes a monthly newsletter, The Covenant. The newsletter’s link is emailed and also can be viewed or printed from the Covenant Newsletter link on the website under “About Us.”

A Comfortable Environment
We strive to provide an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. Come as you are!

Open Communion
Communion is open to all and is served the first Sunday of the month at the 10 a.m. service.

Friendly Follow-up
If you wish to have a follow up with a pastor or learn more about a specific ministry offered at UMCWV, please contact the church office to schedule a meeting time.
